Cotswold Youth Theatre Group Celebrate with a Night at "Guys & Dolls"

We are thrilled to announce that The Cotswold Youth Theatre Group was recently awarded a spectacular evening at The Bridge Theatre in London to see the acclaimed production of "Guys & Dolls." This honour comes as a result of their high quality evaluation report for their visit to the Globe Shakespeare Theatre last summer to see Hamlet, which stood out among the numerous reports received last year.

Our Honorary Patron, Sir Nicolas Hytner, generously donated ten tickets to this sensational show, allowing the children to enjoy a memorable experience.

Sarah Dowie, the head of the Cotswold Youth Theatre Group, has been instrumental in this achievement. Her leadership and dedication were evident in the comprehensive and insightful report provided after their previous theatre visit.

"The children had an amazing experience," Sarah Dowie shared. "It was a day filled with excitement and inspiration."

Here are a couple of great quotes and pics from the students:

‘It’s made me decide that I want to work in set design or lighting. It was brilliant – I felt like I was in the set, that I was there’

‘It made me want to pursue Drama GCSE, to learn more about theatre’

We are particularly looking for feedback that illustrates the learning students gain from the experience of enjoying live theatre and related educational activities.

We invite schools and community groups to share their experiences with us, including photographs, to help us showcase the transformative power of theatre to our supporters. It is through your stories that we can continue to make theatre accessible to those who might not normally have the opportunity.
