See ‘Wicked’ in the West End in 2026 - Exclusive Free & Discounted Tickets for Your School

We at theatre works! are thrilled to be given an extraordinary opportunity for schools to experience the spellbinding West End musical, Wicked; a story of friendship, courage, and a chance to see things from a new perspective. We have hundreds of free and discounted tickets for performances from 1 January 2026.

Apply for a grant

Our mission is to make theatre more accessible to all. We can provide grants of up to £2,000 for schools to use for tickets,  transport, and related educational experiences. This unique offer allows students aged 7-16 for schools with at least 40% students receiving Free School Meals (Pupil Premium) or at least 25% SEND, to step into Oz.

To enrich this experience, students can participate in a Q&A session with the cast and company of Wicked, on Wednesdays following the 2:30 PM matinee performance. This session provides a rare, behind-the-scenes look at professional theatre and a meaningful opportunity for students to engage directly with the actors and wider company, learning about their journeys and the world of theatre.

Key Details:

  • Performance Days: Requested performances are subject to availability. Tickets are available for Tuesday to Thursday performances during term times only until 31 July 2026. Please note that tickets are not available during half-term or other school holidays.

  • Ticket Availability: Schools can apply for up to 50 free tickets per school and any additional tickets are £19.50 pp, which you can apply to be covered as part of your grant application.

  • Apply from 12 January.

You’ll find full details of how to apply for a theatre works! grant here. If you are a new applicant or your school did not receive a grant from theatre works! in 2025, apply from 12 January 2026.
